Critical Thinking for Critical Times

Free live Diverse Discussions Webinar on Thursday, February 13, 2025 @4-5PM Pacific Time (5pm Mountain, 6pm Central, 7pm Eastern). This Zoom discussion will not provide any continuing education credit, but feel free to invite your Christian friends and colleagues. A recording of this webinar will be available to ACHHS members in the members-only archive on our website. Please see the bottom of the events page for a list of past webinars we’ve hosted.

Amy Hall has an M.A. in Christian apologetics from Biola University and currently works as a writer, editor, and podcaster for Stand to Reason, where she explores culture, ethics, philosophy, and theology in light of the truth of the Christian worldview. Her goal is to help Christians truly grasp the fact that Christianity equals Reality, giving them the confidence and ability to apply and live out this truth in every area of their lives so that they may know, love, and serve Christ as whole people, in the fullest way possible. You can hear her on Stand to Reason’s #STRask podcast.

The webinar presentation will explore these two questions:
  1. Is there a benefit to memorizing Scripture in this modern, digital era?

  2. What tools can help us store God’s Word in our hearts?
Moderator Kat Elias, LCSW, co-hosts and produces “The Rooted and Edified Show,” a Conservative Christian Podcast. She founded BeYOUtifully Rooted, a Christian Mental Health & Education Corporation for women, and is currently on the Board of The Association of Christians in Health and Human Services (ACHHS). Kat has been in the social work field for 20 years, with the majority of her focus in Medical Social Work. She recently (2024) obtained her certificate in Apologetics from Biola.
